Iker is co-founder of Dextra, the firm he launched in 2012 after more than two decades dedicated to M&A advisory. Throughout his career he has accompanied boards of directors, shareholders, family businesses, multinationals and Private Equity funds through some of the most decisive moments in their trajectory: the sale of a project built over years, the arrival of a new partner, or the leap that transforms a company.
Before founding Dextra, he built his career in Corporate Finance at Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and Canaliza (Grupo Caja Navarra). He is also co-founder and Executive Partner of Navis Capital Desarrollo SGEIC, the management firm through which he channels his stake in alternative investment vehicles.
Much of his character was forged on a bicycle. Iker raced competitively as a young cyclist, a demanding sport that teaches a lesson that stays with you: results come from consistency, a cool head in difficult moments and the discipline to keep going when the road turns uphill. “You climb the hardest stretches one pedal stroke at a time, without losing sight of the summit.” Today it’s a hobby he enjoys whenever he can, but that same approach to effort — the conviction that summits are reached with patience and a clear head — still shapes the way he works.
That international outlook also defines his life outside the office. Married to a German woman and father of five, he lives day to day in a multicultural, multilingual household where several languages and ways of seeing the world coexist. He’s passionate about the outdoors — there’s no better plan than a hike with the whole family — about travelling to discover new places, and above all about nurturing the friendships he’s built across different countries over the years.
Iker is driven by the conviction that we are here to leave behind a legacy of social value that outlasts us. A sensibility that runs through both how he supports the people who put their trust in him and how he approaches life.
