Javier is defined by commitment. He brings a level of dedication to each project that others can sense — convinced that professional rigour and enjoying the journey are not just compatible but necessary. What draws him most to M&A is where the corporate side, value creation, and the human dimension of each transaction converge: meeting the needs of two parties and living up to the trust placed in the team.
He joined Dextra Corporate Advisors in 2021 as an M&A Associate and was appointed M&A Manager in 2024. Since then he has led mandate origination, the design and execution of the firm’s business development plan, and the end-to-end management of transactions — from mandate to closing — while coordinating and developing a team of three to five professionals.
Before joining Dextra, he spent four years building his career in audit at EY Barcelona, reaching the level of Audit Senior, where he led audit processes, assessed risks and coordinated teams across international projects. That experience gave him the analytical foundation and discipline he brings to every transaction today.
He holds a degree in Economics (bilingual English/Spanish) from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Master’s in Financial Management and Auditing from the same university, and is a certified graduate of the SpainCap M&A Academy, delivered by Deloitte and SpainCap.
Although his entire career has been built in Barcelona, his international outlook is personal: family spread across different countries and a partner from abroad. That openness to other cultures is part of how he naturally approaches both life and work.
Outside the office, he finds balance in sport, travel and, above all, in time with the people who matter — friends, family and colleagues, inside and outside work.
